Wholesome writings that encourage, inspire and warm the heart.

During the course of my writing adventures, I began to self-publish some of my books. Instead of leaving the publisher information blank, I chose to call myself Wrider Publishing.

As I explain on a page of my bookshop, while growing up, I was an avid horseback rider. My stepfather, also my riding instructor, had hoped I would go far when it came to horse shows. When life "got in the way" and it just didn't happen, there was disappointment for both of us. It was years later, after I had begun to realize that writing was really what I wanted to do, that my stepfather made a statement. He said, "You know...I wanted you to be a horseback rider. But now thinking about it, God did give me a rider. He just put a "w" in front of it." (Granted, "writer" is spelled with a "t" not a "d" but since my stepfather is German, I forgave the English error.) The more I thought about "wrider" the more I liked it - mostly because I realized that my stepfather was proud of me, even though I hadn't become what he'd originally wanted. When I began the adventure of self-publishing books, I chose the name I loved and stuck with it - Wrider Publishing. Creating a logo was easy - a "W" with a cross, representing the name and the fact that God is very much involved.
